A message from Crate Crochet

Dear Crate Crochet Community,

I would like to send you a personal note, outlining how we at Crate Crochet are responding to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. 

As a family owned and run business, we continue to be vigilant about our activities, and are more than ever conscious of the well-being of our clients, the greater community and of course, the immediate family who source, prepare and dispatch the Crate Crochet subscription boxes, and Shop orders.

Our stringent policy in keeping our workspace safe, clean and tidy, has been taken to a new level, with additional cleaning protocols in place for incoming and out-going deliveries, a no-contact policy with suppliers, and of course regular hand washing. 

All our Crochet Crates and Shop deliveries are packed wearing plastic food prep or cotton gloves, which are disposed off at the end of each day.

Whilst we source the best yarns and supplies from Australia and around the World, it is inevitable that on occasions stock to us is delayed, either directly from the supplier, or through delays in transportation or through newly imposed Government legislation. We continue to work proactively with our suppliers, and if we identify an item that may be delayed or not available, we will work with our suppliers to find a suitable alternative of the same quality.

We ship all over Australia via Australia Post eParcel, Parcel Post and Express Post the costs of which for businesses are determined by weight, quantity, fuel surcharges and destinations.  We cannot control these costs which are automated through our Australia Post calculator links in our online shop and via our fulfillment software, however, we aim to keep them to the minimum possible in order to avoid running our business at a loss.

Flights carrying cargo from Australia to some destinations might be severely delayed, or postponed due to local Government legislation. We are in close contact with our International freight forwarders and will keep you abreast of any situation affecting delivery to you, should this occur.

When our box shipment deadline approaches, we endeavour to get our boxes out to you as quickly as we can though we aim to be proactively adaptive due to a lack of some supplies such as crochet hooks, if necessary. Please bear with us through this difficult time and transitioning period.

Our customers are the heart of our business, and we thank you for your continuing support, in what are challenging times for all of us.

On a technical note our Subscription Website and Crochet Shop website domains have now changed and the links are in the menu to our online shop products.
